Ok so today we are going to talk about a little product that I have recently found. Thanks to Influenster.com for introducing me to this brand that you can find at CVS or CVS.com. I personally live in a small area and have not seen this line at any other drugstore, but you might be able to find at your local Walmart or Walgreens.

Ok so now to review the actual product. I recieved a small sort of travel sized bottle of Not Your M<3ther's She's A Tease Volumizing Spray. Its not in the picture above, but it looks much like the Heat container. Any ways, so I have very fine thin hair and teasing for me has always been a problem, I could only do it when my hair is "dirty" or second day and it has my homemade dry shampoo, other than that I can tease my hair for 15 minutes and use super hold spray and 2 minutes later my hair will be as flat as water. This product has given me a little more texture, although it is not that great when used alone it is amazing when I have second day hair. I can tease my hair and this stuff will definetly make my hair stay teased all day long! I can run from being out to home to going out again and it will be ready to have great volume and be looking all glamorous and big all night.

With that said, I think the line is worth the prize. I think it does a great job and I would like to test out more products of this line! I might go and pick up that Kinky Moves soon because lets face it the name of the products attract you to them and the packaging is good quality too.

Quick DIY Face Primer. (With NO Aloe Vera!) Oily skin version and dry skin recommendations

So I ran out of my Smash BoX Face primer and have been looking for a new one. I have oily skin so it's hard to find a good DIY.

Ok so for those of you with dry skin here is a little recommendation.

- Use cetaphil. That stuff works amazing and it's very thick which will make for a great primer.
-If cetaphil is a bit pricey use NIVEA Creme that stuff is as good as cetaphil but that little tin in the picture is only 99 cents
-If you have extra oily skin use a small amount of glycerin!

OK SO THINGS YOU'LL NEED FOR THE YOUR FACE PRIMER:
1. A container (mine is an old lotion bottle)
2. A moisturizer for your type of skin
3. Setting powder. NOTE:( THIS IS IMPORTANT IF YOU HAVE OILY SKIN USE RICE POWDER. IT ABSORBS ALL THE SKINS OILS AND IT MAKES THE PRIMER MATTE, I GOT MINE FROM THE MAKEUPGEEK STORE BUT THE BRAND IS PALLADIO SO GET IT WHEREVER THOSE PRODUCTS ARE SOLVED)
4. You could also use a small amount of foundation, but I think it would be more useful if you used a squirt of those crapoy drugstore BB cremes that were a lot of hype and no good result.
5. Sunscreen (optional)

Basically all you need to do is mix 2 parts mostarizer with 4 parts rice powder, 1 part BB Creme (or foundation and Sunscreen) then mix it with a toothpick or other mixing tool and you're done. It should look like below.

I suggest you make small portion of it and just use more as needed.

Great holiday palette to carry around with you in your purse. Or a great stocking stuffer! Physician formula NUDE palette.

So Urban Decay recently came out with an essential naked palette. It's nice, but maybe $30 bucks for a small palette that doesn't seem all that great (thinking about for how 20 bucks more you can have the original naked or the naked with brushes, primers, lip products and those goodies).

If you wanted it because you're traveling for the holidays and are looking for something similar, the physicians formula NUDE palette is the way to go. Not only does it it look a little more festive because of the the finish of the eyeshadows (all satin/shimmer!) but for $30 you can get two and get one as a stocking stuffer or get this palette and some of their amazing liquid liners (3 in a pack, good deal) and you'll have shadows and liners to go!

Luxy Hair Extensions Review

So I have been using the Luxy Hair Extensions for a while now. I have been trying to give them a fair chance since I know fairly new extensions can be tricky. They have to adjust to you and you to them. I got the less expensive set, as it is said to be for thin hair (like mine), at $119.00. The color I got was off black.

So I graded the hair based on two things: the clips and the actual hair.

Lets start with the clips. It's 50% of the work. If the clips are crap then so are your extensions because you'll be unable to use them.
Luxy hair clips definitely are some of the best quality clips I have ever used. They grip to the smallest amount of hair, no matter how thin, they are durable and they are well put in the weft themselves. They get an A++. (PICTURE BELOW)

The other 50% percent of good hair extensions is the hair itself. When I first got it the hair was some of the softest hair ever. I wish I had never washed them or use heat on them and just kept them straight.

Now that I have used them and styled them and used heat, they are absolutely horrendous. They are some of the worst hair I have ever used and seen.

Here's a list of my complaints:
1. Sheds like crazy! (Don't run your fingers through them or you'll have 10 hairs stuck to your fingers)

2. They smell like their synthetic hair when using heat, it smells like a piece of plastic is burning (self explanatory but I believe they use a mix of natural hair and synthetic to make a cheaper product)

3. Doesn't just shed it falls apart. (If you ever washed them you'll find chunks of hair have fallen out the wefts, I know I did)

4. I found a blonde hair in my off black hair clips.

5. The girls in the pictures have hair down to their waists mine is only about 2 inches below my shoulders and I'm only 5"1.

6. Causes my real hair to tangle with the wefts and causes me to get knots like crazy.

7. The bottom of the hair is completely fried from the heat I used (PICTURE BELOW)

8. It will not curl or straighten completely it only maintains its texture. (PICTURE OF HAIR BELOW)

9. Hair gets matted (pieces of hair clump together so it looks like you haven't washed your hair in a month) (ALSO SHOWN ON THE PICTURES BELOW, YOU SEE HOW IT'S STICKING TOGETHER? YEAH IMAGINE THAT ON YOUR HEAD!)

10. The hair is starting to feel rough, it has lost it's softness.

So this are just 10 things off the top of my head. I do have other overall complaints that I experience with this hair and company.

And here they are:
1. When I contacted costumer service about my off black hair having strands of blonde hair in (VERY NOTICEABLE STRANDS) she asked me if I had kept the hair so I can take pictures of it to prove it. I replied yeah I was in an important meeting but decided to leave strand of blonde hair in my black hair so people could check out my weave. (WAS SHE SERIOUS?!)

Anyways I figured she was right and let it go. I just pulled out the pieces of blonde out wherever I spot them (which I shouldn't have to do).

2. Next I tried to write to the company about how bad their products was and I didn't get a reply or I think they just don't care.

3. I bought the most expensive brand and quality shampoo for this hair because that's what the luxy sisters said to use to care for it, a waste because they are still damaged.

So here is how I care for my hair:
I have a box just for it.
I store in a cool place with no light.
I use on special occasions only.
I don't use heat on it every time I use it because I mainly do a high bun with it.
I use expensive styling products for it.
I wash it every 3 months or so just how the Luxy sisters recommended.

So if I'm doing everything right why are my extensions in such bad quality?

The answer is simple. The hair itself is bad quality.

The hair gets a super F- , if it were possible.

The only thing worth it was the clips. Everything else is terrible. I paid 119 dollars for good clips. Doesn't that sound dandy?

Overall the products gets a D+ because I am very much impressed with the clips just not the hair, it's awful.

I regret purchasing this.

Don't do it! Save your money and find yourself a new company. I hope to try out some more soon to recommend some stuff!

Can you see how on the last picture a chunk is missing from the clip? Hair just falls off.

BIG SIDE NOTE: I HAVE NOTICED THE LUXY SISTERS USE NEW EXTENSIONS EVERY COUPLE OF TUTORIALS THAT'S WHY THEIRS DON'T LOOK LIKE YOURS WILL!

Please don't waste your money! I wish I had listened to the reviews.

I have been suffering with thinning hair and falling hair since I was a little girl and I saved up for this for a while. As it turns out this were awful. All my hard earned money for nothing. Of course the company doesn't care because I made them a nice profit.

Im so mad that they can sell such a crappy products. Listen to the reviews their right. I promise!

Bride to be influester beauty box!

I recently got the opportunity to try this box by a great website called influester! If you haven't heard of it is suggest you google it and I hope you get a chance to try such a great website.

Now onto what I'm here for the box.

I'm going to start by talking about the lashes(the ones on top of the white bottles, brand: kISS). In short THE LASHES ARE AWESOME! I'm not convinced that this is the best method for applauding them but they themselves are very nice natural lashes.

The shampoo and conditioner (brand: BC Bonacure hairtherapy). I actually used this I'm my hair extension. Te shampoo left the hair feeling really soft and clean the conditioner I'm not sure it made much of a difference. I would have liked to see a difference in texted (softer hair). Also it didn't detangle much.

Now onto rescue gum(the yellow box). It's said to be gum that relaxes you. I'm not sure if it does or not, but it's great tasting gum! And the pieces are huge too!

Lastly, we have Dream Water. Basically you drink it up and your good for a great night of sleep and rest. The flavor of it is SnoozeBerry, besides the cute name it tastes great and it actually works! I took a sip and was knocked out for the rest of the night. Woke up feeling good too.

That's basically it. In a very fast way to describe things. Overall the box was a great thing to receive. I'm happy with it and I will be an ongoing member of influester! Yay!

Before bedtime skin care routine.

Taking care of your skin before sleep and when you wake up is very important, if you care about how your skin looks. Remember the better skin looks the less make up you have to wear and who doesn't want great looking skin?

What you need to do:
-Before bed make sure to remove all makeup. This is the most important thing one could do before bed because it helps remove anything that could either dry out your skin or make it oilier. It also helps clean the face of any dirt or build of from the day
FYI: Did you know that leaving your lip stick on while you sleep can be the cause of dry lips?Although you could dab on a bit of lip balm before bed, but make sure its not tinted and make sure to remove ALL lip products before bed.

-Clean clean clean! Rub rub rub! Using a cleanser (either home made or one that you've bought) at least twice a week really helps clean out your pores. It helps revive skin and leaves feeling clean, fresh, and smooth.
TIP: I recommend Visibly Even foaming cleanser by Neutrogena. It not only deep cleans, brightens and smooths my skin but it has also helped visibly even out my skin tone.

-Moisturize. Having smooth and soft skin is not only sexy but it also allows you to apply makeup in a clean canvas AND most importantly it allows you to wear less and less and makeup each time.

-Pamper Yourself.  This may sound silly but always having a good night sleep helps you look more amazing. Sleep 6-8 continuous hours everyday and you will start noticing how much your skin improves.

-Clean your makeup brushes. This step is in before bedtime skin care because its easier to wash your brushes at night so they'll be dry in the morning.  Washing your brushes is an awesome way to keep day-before dirt off your face. Helps with breakouts, oily skin and overall skin products.

Trying different skin care products is an fantastic way to discover new products that you love but remember that if any skin care products irritates your skin at any time toss it out. Good luck.

DIY: How to make your own nail polish

What you will need:

-white or light/baby pink nail polish
- eye shadow or bronzer (or anything powder for that matter) of desired nail color
-small container (a disposable cup, a cap of some sort, etc.)
-tooth pick

Steps:
1)On your container put some nail polish, enough to cover the bottom of the container.
2)Add the powder (eyeshadow, foundation, bronzer, etc.) to the nail polish.
TIP: the more you add the more the color will be visible, the less you add it will be a lighter color.
3)Now mix, mix, mix, mix very well. There should be no clumps left. All of the powder should be dissolved.
4)After, using either an old brush from a nail polish that was going to get tossed or using a crft store brush apply the nail polish. Depending on the amount of powder you used determines the amount of coats needed to achieve desired color.
5) Now were finished.
